Star Magic talents star in MMFF movies

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Film Festival is known to be the grandest film festival that happens every Christmas. For this year, ABS-CBN Star Magic is proud to have its pool of artists as stars in the MMFF entries.

Regal Films’ Super Inday and the Magic Bibe stars Marian Rivera, Jake Cuenca and Vice Ganda. This remake of the 1988 film topbilled Maricel Soriano and Aiza Seguerra. It is the story of an ordinary probinsyana named Inday who will turn out to be the world’s greatest superhero through the help of the golden bibe played by John Lapus. Jake is Super Inday’s love interest in the movie. He’ll play the role of Amazing who has Super Powers like , together with Super Inday. Completing the list of Star Magic artists included in Super Inday is Jairus Aquino.

Horror movie Shake, Rattle & Roll (SRR) is out to scare us again on the 12^th installment. It stars Shaina Magdayao who is in the episode Mama-nyiiiika. She is Ara, the eldest sister of Abigail who will find the evil doll and brings it home without even knowing that this doll will haunt them and murder everyone.

Another episode is Isla Engkanto starring Andi Eigenmann. Andi is Andrea in the movie, who together with her friends run into an island to soul search and ease heartaches. There they will meet Ray, the character played by Rayver Cruz, who has experienced his girlfriend on the said island two years ago.

Tanging Ina Mo Rin, Last Na ‘To! starring Ai-Ai delas Alas is one of the festival’s most awaited movies this year.

Star Magic stars led by Serena Dalrymple, Shaina Magdayao, Kaye Abad and Nikki Valdez plus Xyriel Manabat as Monay (Ai-Ai’s granddaughter) shine in the movie. Eugene Domingo’s love interest is Jon Avila as Frank while Rafael Rosell is Troy, Nikki’s husband.

RPG Metanoia is the first-ever Philippine full-length CG-animated film featured in 3D. It is a story of Nico, an 11-year-old boy who is an avid online gamer. He feels brave when playing on online game called Metanoia. The character of Nico features the voice of Zaijian Jaranilla. Mika dela Cruz, another Star Magic artist plays May, Nico’s crush. Lending their voices to the cast of RPG are Basty Alcances, Aaron Junatas, Igiboy Flores and Jairus Aquino. The animation film entry of ABS-CBN Film Productions and Ambient Media.

Another horror film entry is Dalaw. Diether Ocampo is Kris Aquino’s leading man. It is a suspense-thriller about a woman being framed up for murder she didn’t commit. Diether will be playing the role of Anton, Stella’s (Kris) husband. Also in the film are Empress Schuck and Maliksi.

Father Jejemon is another comedy starring Dolphy, who plays Fr. Jeremiah Jerome Montes or Fr. Jejemon. It’s a story of a progressive priest who likes to have fun and do things a usual priest didn’t do. Maja Salvador plays Isabel while Ejay Falcon is Luis, Maja’s love interest. Father Jejemon also stars Rhap Salazar and Nash Aguas. The movie is under RVQ Productions, and is directed by Frank Gray Jr.
