MOD mag ends cover-girl search

MANILA, Philippines - MOD Magazine, in cooperation with Modelo Pilipinas, has just made one young woman’s dream come true as it held the grand finals of its Search for MOD 2010 Cover Girl at The Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, last Friday, Dec. 3.

The winner of the search will be the Cover Girl of the New MOD which will also be launched during the pageant. She will also receive a three-year modeling contract with Modelo Pilipinas, among other prizes.

Out of a hundred aspirants who underwent a screening led by MOD editor-in-chief Cynthia Santiago, and Dennis Arca, president of Modelo Pilipinas, 16 were selected as finalists: Kristine Mae Aquino, Elaine Maris Bautista, Ma. Bencelle Bianzon, Joanne Maxime Earnshaw, Ma. Crisena April Ebol, Mary Kris Enriquez, Michiko Espino, Mary Joy Gutierrez, Marie Clariss Lucero, Sharyn Clein Placido, Junjie Presillas, Marjerie Ramos, Bianca Mae Sasamori, Stephanie Mae Sol, Kim Sangel, and Kate Tapia.

MOD readers participated in the search by voting for their choice of the Cover Girl of the New MOD which will be released beginning January 2011.
