MyPhone, Red Horse present Ugat

MANILA, Philippines - My phone, the trendy new addition to the communication devices available locally and Red Horse Beer are the main presentors of Ugat The Concert.

Produced by Viva Concerts and Events, it celebrates original Filipino music and stars The Legends of Pinoy Folk Rock. This will be held on Dec. 3 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Leading the performers is the Juan de la Cruz Band composed of Joey “Pepe” Smith, Balong Malalim, Mike Hanopol (Laki Sa Layaw Jeproks) and Wally Gonzales, of Wally’s Blues. They were also responsible for Teacher’s Enemy Number 1, Pinoy Antiquities and the iconic Himig Natin.

Juan de la Cruz Band will perform for the first time with Sampaguita of Bonggahan, Tao and Laguna fame; Lolita Carbon of Asin and Nene with the hits Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran, Pagbabalik, Bayan Kong Sinilangan, Itanong Mo Sa Mga Bata; Heber Bartolome and Banyuhay with Tayo’y Mga Pinoy, Nena and Almusal; Gary Granada of Kahit Konti, Salamat Musika, Bahay and Mabuti Pa Sila and Florante with hits Handog, Ako’y Pinoy, Abakada, Sana, Pinay, who will be flying in from the US for the show. Noel Cabangon of the hit Kanlungan, will also join the show.

Tickets are available at all SM Ticketnet outlets and at Araneta Coliseum. Prices are Patron A P2,500; Patron B P2,000; Lower Box P1,500; Upper Box A P1,000; Upper Box B P600; and General Admission, P300.
