MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s Showtime host Vice Ganda has been holding successful concerts here and abroad. He has captivated audiences with his unique brand of comedy. Vice Ganda’s recent movie Petrang Kabayo is a certified box-office hit. “I’m happy to have a show in Davao because when I was starting, Davaoeños showed their love for me. So my return to Davao is my homecoming. It’s my reunion with people I consider part of my family from the start. I’m excited to be with my fans in Roxas,” Vice Ganda said
Roxas, a city in Capiz, unlike Davao, Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo is not a popular choice for concerts and shows for producers. “When we learned that the people from Roxas wanted to watch Vice but could not travel all the way to Manila, we decided to bring Vice to them. We wanted to give them the chance to watch Vice live like in other cities,” said Pelita Peralta-Uy, managing director of Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc.
This is not the first time that Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. is working with Vice Ganda. The comedian was one of the hosts for the reality TV show that Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. produced with David’s Salon titled The Final Cut. In 2006, Vice, who was performing at comedy bars was referred by a hairstylist of David Salon who was a good friend of Vice.
Tomorrow, Nov. 27 and on Nov. 28, Vice will entertain the people of Davao and Roxas, respectively, in the Party Party! Concert Tour.
Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. is producing both concerts (in Davao and Roxas) with the local events group Morriz Events from Davao. Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. is known to be pro-Filipino and that explains its advocacy in uplifting and promoting the local entertainment industry. Just for one year, Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. co-produced Star Magic World Contest Tour in Araneta, Joel Lamangan’s dream project Sigwa, the Apo Hiking Society’s Last Valentines NAPO Nila and the most recent, Ogie Alcasid and Ryan Cayabyab collaboration OC at the PICC.
Party Party! will be at the Central Bank Convention Hall in Davao and at the Capiz Gym in Roxas. Show starts at 8 p.m. For ticket inquiries, call for Davao (082-3003253) and Roxas (0906-5584009 and 0939-1659016) or visit ticket outlet at Gaisano Mall.
