Xyriel opens the newest baon surprise

MANILA, Philippines - She first gained popularity as the young Agua and Bendita in Agua Bendita, then lit up our screens with her cute antics in Momay.

Off-screen, Xyriel Manabat may be getting a lot of attention, but she is the same modest child who enjoys her independence. “Sinanay po ako na palaging tumulong sa bahay. Kahit nga po sa baon ko, tinutulungan ko si Mommy sa pagpili at paggawa.”

Just like any other kid, Xyriel looks forward to her baon. This is why when she lost her lunchbox, she asked the entire nation to help her find it through flyers, billboards, TV and in the Internet. Schoolchildren from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao responded by participating in a grand scavenger hunt for Xyriel’s missing lunchbox held in three key venues — SM Mall of Asia, SM Cebu and SM Davao.

The kids then helped unlock the mystery inside Xyriel’s lunchbox: New Tang Pick & Go. Now in supermarkets, groceries and sari-sari stores nationwide, Tang Pick & Go is a multi-pack of three single serve sachets, carrying the Tang flavors that kids love. Using the Rip, Pour and Shake dance that Xyriel taught them during the event, kids can even have fun preparing their favorite drink ripping, pouring and shaking their thirst away.

“Whatever flavor they like — whether they prefer the classic Orange flavor or love the more tropical Pineapple and Mangga — these kids will no doubt have a blast with Tang Pick & Go,” says brand manager Mark de Joya. “With a sachet that’s just right for a 330 ml. lunchbox water tumbler, kids will surely find new ways to enjoy the well-loved drink.”

“Masaya po ako ngayon, dahil sa pabaon ni Mommy na Tang Pick & Go. Kahit sa school o sa taping ma-e-enjoy ko na ang Orange, Pineapple at Mangga flavors ng Tang,” Xyriel says. “Gusto ko rin ito dahil pwede ko ring piliin ang gusto kong inumin na flavor.”

“We feel that the creativity showcased in Xyriel’s projects, as well as the dedication she shows in her work reflects the value of being independent, which Tang Pick & Go wants to inspire in kids,” says Cyn Icasas, category marketing manager for beverages of Kraft Foods Philippines.
