Celebrities in Folded & Hung's Streetcast fashion show

MANILA, Philippines - Sam Milby, Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis led the parade of stars in Folded & Hung’s biggest event of the year — the 2010 Streetcast Fashion Show held at SMX Center in Pasay City recently. The celebrity endorsers were in the forefront of the brand as it unleashed its summer 2011 collection.

Sam and Angel have embraced the brand’s apparel while Anne has sprayed over its fragrant sets, with other equally pretty faces from the two giant TV networks displaying their stance.

With the theme, “It is who you are and not what you spend,” Streetcast is offering the best of casual street style, taking inspiration from what festival goers wear to celebrate the three-day Coachella Music and Arts Fest held every year in Indio, California as homage to art in all forms: Music, visual arts (installation art and sculptures) and fashion.

Other stars who modeled on the catwalk were Tim Yap, Luis Alandy, Divine Lee, GMA Artist Center’s Princess Snell, Luane Dy, Gretchen Espina and Prince Stefan, and Star Magic’s Maja Salvador, Isabelle Abreira, Helga Krapf, Kazel Kinouchi, April Sun, Fretzie Bercede, Thara Jordana, Julz Savard and Rachel Bustamante.

Folded & Hung Summer 2011 Collection captures the roots of American fashion that promotes free enterprise, freedom of expression and a mix of the old and the new which fits Pinoys’ fashion sense. It is a casual mix of hippie, ethnic, gypsy and vintage elements with a modern sense. The sexy, artistic self-expression comes into play.

For men, it’s free flowing fashion of resort shirts, soft cargos, Henley tees, dhoti shorts and relaxed denim. For women, vintage long dresses are in, tunics in lightweight materials and lace-tiered skirts. Denim shorts agree with the scorching summer sun, as well as cut-offs to retro shorts in light washed denim materials. These wears are tailor-made for summer activities.  

Completing the celebrity fashion show are Lance Christopher, Jose Sarasola, Xian Lim, Enrqiue Gil, JP and JM Lagumbay.
