Suicidal cabbie on Midnight DJ

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Taxi drivers tell a lot of stories especially when you are caught in heavy traffic. On TV5’s Midnight DJ this Saturday evening, a young cabbie named David will tell you his.

Although David (Marc Solis) is only in his early 20s, he decides to be a cab driver after his brother Ruben (Jojo Bolado) who owns the car committed suicide.

David meets Ruben’s friends — suspicious-looking mechanic Gibo (Richard Quan), his girlfriend Faith (Diana Zubiri) and Ruben’s creepy-looking assistant Simon (Maui Manalo). David suspects foul play in his brother’s death. He also thinks one of the three is the murderer, especially after he sees the faceless ghost of a dead flower vendor (Sandy Talag) who seems to be telling him something.

David seeks the help of our MDJ Team composed of Samboy (Oyo Sotto), Bodjie (Joaqui Tupas), Andrea (Desiree del Valle), QT (Meg Im[erial) and John Medina (Chief Arthur). The team talks to the sampaguita girl. Will the 10-year-old street vendor shed light on Ruben’s mysterious death?

MDJ, directed by Lore Reyes and line produced by Angie Samson-Valvieja was PMPC Star Awards for TV 2009 Best Horror Program.
