MANILA, Philippines - Suspense TV drama series The Walking Dead will premiere on four cable channels tonight at 11.
Days Gone By will air simultaneously on Fox Channel, Star World, FX, and Channel V. The TV roadblock will allow Filipinos to see the global premiere and exclusive first run of The Walking Dead.
Based on a comic book creation of Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors in Atlanta who constantly travel in search of a safe and secure home. The group is led by police officer Rick Grimes who wakes up from coma only to find a world overrun by zombies.
The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln (This Life, Gangster No. 1) as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break) as Rick’s wife Lori, Chandler Riggs as Rick’s son Carl, and Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, Eastwick) as Rick’s police partner Shane Walsh.
The cast also includes Laurie Holden (The X-Files) and Emma Bell (Ghost Whisperer) as sisters Andrea and Amy, Jeffrey de Munn (Citizen X, The Shawshank Redemption) as retiree Dale, and Steven Yeun (The Big Bang Theory) as teenager Glenn.
Season one consists of six one-hour episodes:
Days Gone By (tonight). Rick searches for his family after emerging from coma into a world terrorized by the walking dead.
Guts (Nov. 12). Rick unknowingly causes a group of survivors to be trapped by walkers.
Tell It to The Frogs (Nov. 19). Rick returns to Atlanta to retrieve the bag of guns and save a man’s life.
Vatos (Nov. 26). Rick’s Atlanta mission is jeopardized.
Wildfire (Dec. 3). Rick leads the group to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after the attack.
TS-19 (Dec. 10). Rick and the group are allowed into the CDC by a strange doctor.
