A tale of love and family in Little Star

MANILA, Philippines - As part of its last quarter salvo, GMA Network shines anew with the telecast of another riveting tale of love and family that is bound to brighten up the afternoons — Little Star.

Little Star is GMA 7’s latest soap starring Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jennylyn Mercado, Paolo Contis and Lovi Poe.

Completing the cast are Sarah Lahbati, Jiro Manio, Allan Paule, Maricel Morales, Rich Asuncion, Shamaine Centenera, Orlando Sol and introducing the country’s newest child star, Nicky Castro.

Directed by the award-winning Maryo J. delos Reyes, Little Star tells the fascinating story of a singing child star named Niño Estrella (Nicky) and how he touches the lives of the people around him including a famous female singer, her personal assistant, a photographer and an opportunist.

Aside from its compelling story, Little Star is a highly challenging dramatic soap for its artists.  For Lovi, the show marks as the most challenging drama series to date since this is her first time to work with direk Maryo. It is also Sarah’s first venture into serious heavy drama.

Mark and Jennylyn, who both worked with direk Maryo in Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak and Impostora, respectively, find Little Star exciting at the same time challenging because they will be working again with the multi-awarded director, Paolo, Allan and Jiro.

Little Star airs after Yaman ni Lola in GMA 7’s Haponalo.
