BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) —Nicolas Cage (photo), who won Oscar Best Actor for Leaving Las Vegas, will travel to Romania to film the sequel to Ghost Rider, and also be guest of honor at a charity ball helping underprivileged Gypsy children get an education.
Cage will be in Romania at the end of October to shoot Ghost Rider-Spirit of Vengeance, said a press statement from the charity organizing the ball.
During his stay in the country, Cage will also participate in a Halloween ball organized by the mother of another Hollywood actor, Ethan Hawke.
Leslie Hawke says they are thrilled Cage will be at their event.
Cage’s grandparents emigrated from Italy to America “back in a time when there was tremendous prejudice against Italian immigrants,” Hawke said.
