Hallowscream on Star Movies

MANILA, Philippines - Have you checked the closet for the boogeyman? Hung garlic and crosses to scare away the ghouls heading your way? Locked the doors tight and switched on all the lights?

Then you’re ready for Star Movies’ Hallowscream scare-fest marathon. On Oct. 31, ghosts, murderers, and bloody bodies will haunt your TV sets all day long starting 12:30 p.m. until midnight. Check out this line-up of Halloween movies and get ready for the screams.

The Eye. The horror-fest begins with a remake of the 2002 hit Japanese horror thriller. Jessica Alba stars as Sydney, a blind violinist who undergoes corneal transplant. While the operation is a success, she soon realizes that she got more than just her sight — she’s now haunted by horrific visions experienced by her eye donor.

The Burrowers. Go back to the time of the Indians and the pioneers and meet the flesh-eating creatures in The Burrowers. After a family is brutally abducted, a handful of pioneers band together to rescue them. But what awaits them in the darkness is more savage than any man and the hunters became the hunted in a game of survival.

My Bloody Valentine. In this 2009 remake, Jensen Ackles plays Tom Hanniger, the one who is blamed for a coal-mine accident that put survivor Harry Warden into a coma. Ten years later, he returns to the town only to find that a string of murders are happening on Valentine’s Day.

Scream. Revisit the unforgettable town of Woodsbro and the killing spree of Ghostface. With the serial killer on the loose, it’s up to Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) to unmask The Killer in this hit ’90s slasher-movie thriller.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. Amber Heard is Mandy Lane, a withdrawn teenager who is popular with the guys. At an isolated farmhouse, an uninvited hooded stranger shows up. As partygoers start disappearing and the bodies start piling up, Mandy and her friends start running for their lives.

Midnight Meat Train. End your night screaming with a ride on the Midnight Meat Train. Leon, played by Bradley Cooper, is a photographer who has found the best subject for his career: a serial killer on the loose. As Leon continues to board the train night after night in pursuit of the sadistic murderer, Leon’s obsession with the criminal also grows. Will he ever get out of the killer’s sinister world?
