The Beatles' Red and Blue albums

MANILA, Philippines - Polyeast Records announces the release of The Beatles’ digitally-remastered and imported two double albums of the best of The Beatles, The Beatles 1962-1966 (The Red Album) and The Beatles 1967-1970 (The Blue Album) which will be available in the market on Oct. 18.

The Beatles 1962-1966 also known as The Red Album brings together the majority of the Beatles’ hits from the early to mid-’60s. As an overview of some of the most popular and indelible rock songs of all time and most popular songs from the Beatles early discography leading up to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and 26 other bona fide classic like I Want to Hold Your Hand, Drive My Car, All My Loving, Yesterday, Help!, Michelle, Girl, Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine.

As the classic albums remain an introduction for young listeners and a key sampler for veteran fans, the often called The Blue Album brings together the Beatles best known songs from 1967 through 1970. Featuring the soundscapes of Strawberry Fields Forever; John Lennon’s songwriting can be heard on tracks like Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds and Across the Universe; Paul McCartney’s English music numbers on Penny Lane and Ob-la-Di, Ob-la-Da, and some of his finest ballads, including the mega-hits Let It Be and Hey Jude; also including George Harrison fine songwriting talent during these years with Something and Here Comes the Sun; rock numbers on cuts like Revolution and other full of quality songs from Sgt. Pepper, The Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be.

The Beatles 1962-1966 (The Red Album) and The Beatles 1967-1970 (The Blue Album) are available as Best Of Beatles anthologies on CD and were originally-released as two double LP sets back in the early ‘70s after the band’s 1970 disbandment, the popular collections each feature a selection of singles and album tracks written by the band’s members.

Both albums will be available at Odyssey Music and Video stores and O Music Greenbelt and Rockwell.

There will also be an album launch happening today (pre-launch) at Rockwell Mall and Oct. 20 at Robinsons Manila.
