Thomasian Expo set at SMX
MANILA, Philippines - Thomasian-owned and/or managed businesses will showcase their innovative products and services in a one-of-a-kind exposition at the SMX Convention Center starting today until Oct. 17. Known as the Thomasian Global Trade Expo (TGTE), the three-day event will feature a job fair, shopping bazaars, wellness festival, arts, design and construction booths, celebrity shows, food and beverage stalls, entrepreneurship workshops and advocacy seminars.
The TGTE is special project of the University of Sto. Tomas Alumni Association, UST Office for Alumni Relations, and the UST Thomasian Alumni Leaders Association in line with the quadricentennial celebrations of the Pontifical and Royal University in 2011.
USTAA president Robert Sy, one of the organizers of TGTE, said that the project was conceived to highlight the success of graduates of the university in business, arts and the professions. Sy added that part of the proceeds will fund the building of the Alumni Center in 2012 Leading the list of around 400 exhibitors which will provide product sampling, free check-ups and top brands at discounted prices are Mercury Drug, Jollibee, Bayantel, Century Canning, Moldex, Gloria Jeans Coffee, Palafox Associates,
Burlington BioFresh, Convergys, Aficionado, Mossimo, Bratpack, Bakers Fair, Ating Alamin, Hyundai, Home Health Care and JAC Motors.
