Kimerald will set the big screen on fire

MANILA, Philippines - Their devoted followers can’t have enough of them, whether on the small screen or the big screen.

So in response to insistent demand, Star Cinema is ready to again set the big screen on fire with Till My Heartaches End, the new team-up of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Popularly and fondly known simply as Kimerald to their fans, Kim and Gerald have just done a series of teleseryes for ABS-CBN, all of them top-raters, including Tayong Dalawa and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, a title which has titillated their fans no end because of unfounded rumors that, even if they haven’t categorically admitted that they are “on,” but are just into an “MU” (Mutual Understanding) relationship, Kim and Gerald might drift apart from each other, with other names linked to Gerald for good measure. The rumors only firm up the resolve of Kimeralds to keep their idols together, inseparably together.

Whether on-screen or off-screen, the Kimerald chemistry is as strong as ever. It was very obvious from their first TV appearance as housemates in the reality-TV Pinoy Big Brother (First) Teen Edition from which Kim emerged as the top winner. They jibed and it was witnessed and monitored by PBB followers throughout the land. They easily captured the fans’ imagination and won their hearts with their melodramatic background — Kim is a product of a broken family while Gerald started as a back-up dancer of Joross Gamboa. In short, they rose from the ranks, started from scratch, and made it to the top as the country’s hottest young loveteam through sheer talent, charm, charisma and star appeal.

In the six years that they’ve been a loveteam, Kim and Gerald have done, aside from teleseryes, romance-dramas starting with First Day High (about high school romance), followed by I’ve Fallen For You and Paano Na Kaya? Their other small-screen outing includes My Girl and Sana Maulit Muli.

In the much-awaited Till My Heartaches End, Kim and Gerald will bring the “kilig” factor to a higher level, calculated to whet the fans’ appetite for the latest in their idols’ romantic journey together. As the title implies, Till My Heartaches End traces the ups and downs, the trials and tribulations of young love which survives them all, proving as Kim and Gerald do in real life that they are meant for each other, never to outgrow their feelings for each other, never to leave each other.
