Glee season 2 on Jack TV
MANILA, Philippines - Jack TV premieres the second season of the all-singing and all-dancing Glee on Sept. 22, 4 p.m. via satellite and its primetime telecast at 9 p.m.
The show is the highest-rated new scripted series of last year in the US. Building a loyal fan base of millions worldwide it has propelled four albums to the top of the charts and launched a sold-out multi-city tour in the US. Glee won the Golden Globe for Best TV Comedy/Musical Series, the Screen Actor’s Guild for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series, and just recently Jane Lynch scored the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy.
Following a group of enthusiastic and motivated students who try their best to find glory in the field of show choir, they have to face the cruel reality of high school. Having lost to arch rivals Vocal Adrenaline last season, McKinley High’s New Directions must now start their journey anew. Season two promises to include not just sectional and regional competitions, but also nationals.
Leading them on their quest is the glee club’s courageous leader Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), a Spanish teacher with hip-hop skills and complicated love life. The glee club includes wannabe stars Rachel (Lea Michele), a pitch-perfect singer with an unwavering passion to be a star; Finn (Cory Monteith), the heartbreakingly cool quarterback who struggles with his mom dating again; Kurt (Chris Colfer), the baby-faced soprano who longs for his dad’s acceptance; Mercedes (Amber Riley), a powerhouse vocalist whose diva attitude rules the club; Artie (Kevin McHale), a wheelchair-bound performer who dreams of dancing; and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), a stuttering goth with a soft side.
There’s also arrogant and overconfident ladies man Puck (Mark Salling); ice-cold queen-bee-turned-teen-mom Quinn (Dianna Agron); and the dynamic cheerleading duo of Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera). Determined to see his students to Nationals, Mr. Schuester must battle with his nemesis cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch).
Joining the club this season are guest stars Chord Overstreet and our very own Charice who will leave one or two characters feeling some competition.
