Loveless Maja

MANILA, Philippines - Maja Salvador doesn’t mind staying loveless, thank you. Not that she’s wanting in men who’d give their right arm to win her heart. Matteo Guidicelli was her date at the recent Star Magic ball. But Maja insists there's nothing more to their date than pure and simple friendship.

Matteo is not alone in being linked to Maja. There’s her Impostor co-star and fellow Tupperware endorser Sam Milby.

Maja and Sam tease each other a lot. In fact, before she left for the US recently, Maja struck a deal with him. She will lose weight and tip the scales at a sexy 100 lbs. after her trip.

Maja did lose weight, but not as much as she hoped she would. The petite Maja now weighs an enviable 105 lbs. And her body-hugging purple bustier at the Tupperware event made the afternoon even more steamy for male onlookers.

Maja endorses Tupperware Brands’ feminine scents: A Little Romance, Ivana, Possibilities and Georgie on Ice. She also has her own fragrance line. Maja is a fruity floral fragrance inspired by her energy and passion for dance.

Maja insists, however, that Sam is not the driving force behind another passion: Looking good. She is shocked at why people put extra meaning to her one-time visit to Sam’s gym at home.

Maja needs all the stamina from gym work when taping starts going full blast for Inday Sa Balitaw, remake of the Maricel Soriano movie with Roderick Paulate.

The prospect of stepping into Maricel’s shoes excites Maja no end. She watched the 1986 movie on YouTube to check how Maricel looked like. Maja is also grateful to Mel Martinez, Maricel’s brother, for giving her tips on how Maricel attacked her role.

“Kuya Mel is so nice!” she gushes. “He tells me how Maricel moved and acted in the movie.”

How will Maja make the big shift from drama to comedy, now that the teleseries Impostor, which is heavy on drama, is about to end?

It’s the least of Maja’s worries.“I also have my comic moments in Impostor,” she states.

Who needs a lovelife when you’re enjoying your career? Not Maja, who feels she’s having a ball, lovelife be damned.
