Laguna's massive reforestation

-

MANILA, Philippines - Laguna Gov. Jeorge ‘E.R.’ Ejercito Estregan (rightmost) and Laguna PNP provincial director Gilbert ‘DC’ Cruz lead the massive reforestation and tree planting program, water shed management which is the part of Gov. Estregan’s project to save Laguna Lake, dredging, desilting of Laguna Lake and the Napindan Channel. The clearing of 27 water tributaries will also start soon, as well as relocation of the informal settlers to a provincial housing project and removal of all the fish pens. Laguna Lake, which is the source of potable water, is now heavily polluted with wastes due to the informal settlers, fishpens and illegal loggers.
