How Pia keeps her radiant skin

MANILA, Philippines - You often see Pia Guanio on TV every day. She co-hosts GMA 7’s Eat, Bulaga! in the afternoons and delivers showbiz news early evenings in 24 Oras. She updates televiewers on latest celebrity happenings and intrigues in Showbiz Central  every Sunday.

But how come her skin doesn’t seem to sag or wrinkle considering the amount of heat from all the kleig lights trained on her? She still looks good even when embroiled in headline-worthy talks.

How does she maintain her flawless, glowing skin while others get stuck with pimples, scaly, dry skin, dark circles around the eyes and worse, blotches of dark spots despite the SPF content in the prescribed sun block? That’s because no matter how tiring her day was, Pia never sleeps with makeup on and conscientiously checks every product she applies on her skin. She makes sure the brand is guaranteed safe and effective the way Obagi skin care line is on her skin.

Chosen recently as the face of House of Obagi (HOO) that carries all Obagi medical products, Pia is ideal for promoting the brand’s goal of healthy skin for its clients. HOO’s wide variety of skin care products is prescribed by 760 board-certified affiliated dermatologists nationwide. Pia herself can attest to Obagi’s promise of bringing back healthy skin in six and a half weeks.

“I’ve been getting Obagi prior to my being an endorser because my dermatologist prescribes the brand and I always like it, knowing Obagi is a well-trusted name, of quality and is safe to use. That’s why I’m glad I found my way here,” Pia says.

Growing up, Pia relates, freckles were all over her face due to the sunbathing activities she often had then. It took her some time trying to get the skin blemish off her face.

“I’ve done all sorts of treatments but failed until my doctor gave me Exfoderm (for hydration and exfoliation) and Obagi Clear and Obagi Blender that help lighten pigmentation then the freckles stopped and now they’re gone.”

Following her dermatologist’s prescription to the letter has resulted to a perfect skin everybody strives for. She admits going under the knife scares her no end.

“I’m scared of injections and needles. Besides, Obagi can take care of all the stresses that my face endure — the heavy makeup, the harsh lights and, of course, the skin damage we can get from the harmful rays of the sun,” Pia shares.

The ZO Visage Therapy is among Obagi facial treatments that keeps Pia’s radiant glow off and on-cam. Infused with ZO Skin Health products which effectively help restore elasticity and firmness, the treatment will make the skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

“ZO is for anti-aging so I actually appreciate it so much. Well, I may not be that old yet but you can’t really avoid staying under harsh elements that contribute to the aging process.”

The use of Obagi started when Dr. Zein Obagi formulated medical products proven to be safe and effective for all skin types. The brand has been popular worldwide for 25 years now. In the Philippines, Obagi has been prescribed by affiliated dermatologists nationwide for over a decade.

House Of Obagi (HOO), also created as a skin care hub for all Obagi-affiliated doctors all over the country, has branches in Trinoma, Greenbelt5, Alabang Town Center, SM Pampanga and SM North EDSA. Soon, another branch will open at Robinsons Place Ermita. It also offers plastic surgery and reconstructive dentistry for the overall wellness of its patients.
