MANILA, Philippines - Juan Rodrigo (photo) has joined the Sagip Pasig Movement.
“We have to involve as much people as we can in this advocacy and emphasize the heritage value of the river; the Pasig River Heritage Tour will accomplish that — it will reach out to more people and we would instill in their minds the socio-historical and cultural significance of the Pasig River,” says JR.
The Pasig River Heritage Tour, a project of the Sagip Pasig Movement in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, targets corporate citizens, community dwellers and foreigners as tourist-learners.
Other signatories to the people’s Covenant on the Launching of the Pasig River Heritage Tour include DENR Sec. Horacio Ramos, Deogracia Tablan Jr., executive director of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission, Dr. Quintin Doromal, executive director of Bantayog ng mga Bayani, Rod Cornejo of GMA Network, Inc., Devriz de Aro of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and Dr. Liway Cruz of Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
