The safe and professional way to a new you
MANILA, Philippines - In a country where fly-by-night cosmetic surgeons are increasing, it no longer comes as a surprise to hear nasty stories about boob and nose jobs that have gone wrong. That’s why Dr. Alexander De Leon, VP at the Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and co-owner of La Nouvelle Image Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Clinic, advises people to always think before they go under the knife. Most importantly, he says, it always never hurts to know more about your doctor.
Dr. De Leon, together with partner Dr. Ma. Regina “Reena” Corona-Rosales, is advocating for the education of the public because they’ve done reconstructions and revisions of plastic and cosmetic surgeries by even the country’s popular “celebrity doctors.”
De Leon is a graduate of University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. He went to the US to train, returning to the Philippines after realizing the handling and treatments of patients in the US are far different from what they do here.
Dr. Corona-Rosales is a member of the Philippine Dermatological Society. She took her residency training at the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center. She would later join Clinical Manila before partnering with De Leon to start La Nouvelle Image in 1996.
Both doctors are board-certified.
La Nouvelle Image is located at Unit 701-702 San Miguel Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
