TV5's Star Factor begins auditions

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - TV5’s upcoming reality-based talent search Star Factor will be formally launched tomorrow, July 25, with day-long auditions to be held at SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall (from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.). Screening showbiz hopefuls aged 13 to 18, Star Factor will be on the lookout for potential teen idols who have the total package of good looks, exceptional talent and charm, and the all-important star quality.

Star Factor will be hosted by Ruffa Gutierrez, who herself is the epitome of what stardom is all about. Not only will she serve as a role model for the show’s would-be contestants, she will be a big sister, mentor and friend to them as well.

Aside from the young showbiz aspirants who will be undergoing various challenges to prove their rightful claim to stardom, Star Factor also showcases a panel of judges who are experts in the field of show business and who all have the eye for true star potential.

The Star Makers (Star Factor’s panel of judges) are composed of actor-director and Talent5 head Audie Gemora as the chairman, with writer-director Joey Reyes, ace fashion photographer Raymond Isaac, Ryan Cayabyab and Annabelle Rama.

Star Factor will also hold regional auditions in SM Davao on Aug. 1 and SM Cebu on Aug. 7. All applicants are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate, two passport size and two full body pictures. Those under 18 are required to submit their parents’ letter of consent. Registration forms are available at the audition venues.
