What's the truth behind the rumors?

Kim Chiu shed tears while being interviewed on the Buzz as regards her on screen partner Gerald Anderson. Gerald fainted on the set of ASAP and was brought to a hospital for treatment. They were scheduled to appear on The Buzz together. “Sobrang lamig-lamig ng kamay niya pero tinuloy pa rin niya ‘yung buong ASAP. Sabi niya rin sa sarili niya, ‘Ano ba ‘tong nararamdaman ko? Parang first time nangyari sa akin,” said Kim.

Kim said Gerald was too tired, causing him to hyperventilate. According to people close to Gerald, the actor prior to his ASAP performance taped episodes for the top rating Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo which ended early Sunday morning. With only a few hours rest, he proceeded to the ASAP set to do his production number. Then, Gerald was already feeling exhausted.

Kim and Gerald have been an “item” and despite speculations that they are playing beautiful music together, Kim insists that they are just friends. “Magkaibigan lang po kami,” she said.

For Mariel, Robin is ‘most beautiful face’

Fans of Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla went wild when the TV host actress revealed that Robin easily is the man that comes to mind when asked who has the most beautiful face among men in local show business. Mariel was hesitant to answer but eventually gave in. Rumors have been circulating that she and Binoe are textmates. One preposterous tale even claims that Binoe now sleeps in her house.

Mariel admits that she has moved on after her much talked about break-up with Zanjoe Marujo. “I’m very happy right now. I am not closing my doors on love. I have all the time in the world for love right now.”

Mariel stars in one of the five episodes of the ABS CBN movie Cinco. “Pinangarap ko talaga ito. Part of my wish list is to come up with a movie. And this is it. I am so happy talaga.”

Heart-warming episode on Simply KC

It was a very heartwarming episode we saw in Simply KC last week. With guest Senator Kiko Pangilinan, KC provided some insights into her relationship with her dad. Father and daughter also exchanged a few thank yous and sorrys.

“Noong bata pa ako, pinahirapan kita. Yong first impression ko, akala ko masungit ka pero hindi naman pala. All these years have passed, at daddy kita. Thank you for being my daddy, for accepting me as your own. Thank you for putting tradition sa pamilya kasi hindi ko maintindihan ‘yong tradisyon until dumating ka sa life namin and thank you for being hands on,” KC said.

“When I started dating your mom you were turning nine. Sabi ko, kung liligawan ko si Sharon, kailangan ligawan din kita. So nilagyan ko ng boses ang stuff toy,” said Kiko. “It’s the same technique na ginagawa ko kina Frankie and Miel.” He also dated KC, and their first date was in a circus.

Up to now, Kiko is a hands-on dad. He is also their No. 1 playmate. “Nabasa ko somewhere na sa mga bata napakahalaga ng laro. That’s how they learn how to focus, think, relate with others. So kasama ako dun sa laro.”

KC recalled a moment when dad Kiko really felt angry – when she wore green contact lens to the church. She was a young girl then. “Ang gusto niya simple lang talaga kami. Walang arte sa katawan,” said KC. “Galit na galit sya. Hindi na namin naabutan ang misa dahil palabas na siya ng sasakyan, tapos nakita niya, bumalik, sinara ‘yong pinto! Hindi na kami umalis ng sasakyan,” she revealed.

Kiko also apologized to KC for being too strict. “Sorry for being strict, sometimes, too strict. Out of frustration, masakit akong magalit. I’m sorry for that. Siguro iniisip ko lang kung ano ‘yong pinakamabuti sa’yo. Sorry minsan iniisip kong 10 years old ka pa lang, pero 20 plus ka na,” Kiko said.

His other children Frankie and Miel via video were all praises for their dad. Frankie said she loves everything about her dad. She also enumerated the things that she loves about him: he loves his family so much, he loves their mom and he is playful even though he is strict and he loves God.

Derek and Angelica: No marriage in South Africa

Derek Ramsay denied rumors that she and longtime girlfriend Angelica Panganiban got married in South Africa where they spent one month vacation. “It’s not easy to get married in a foreign country. We both have different citizenships. There’s no truth to that,” he said. “We had a great time. Bumawi kami sa oras.” Derek said before they left for South Africa, they were spending less time together because of work.

Derek also added that soon after they arrived in the country, Angelica left for Europe to do a concert tour with actor John Lloyd Cruz, among others.
