MANILA, Philippines - Frencheska Farr’s hard work pays off.
The cheerful, quirky singer-actress who trailblazed local show business with her candor, immense musical talent and natural giftedness in acting had been rewarded for her hard work as a newcomer in the business.
GMA 7’s Next Big Star grand champion Frencheska was recently adjudged The Most Promising Singer/Performer of 2010 by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Awards Foundation. It aims to recognize the young lady’s outstanding talent in the unique movie-musical production Emir produced by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). The film directed by Chito Roño is distributed by Viva Films.
Frencheska is on top of the world by this citation. First off, her landing the lead role in the movie musical she already considers hulog ng langit besting other singer-actresses out there who auditioned for the same role. And now, this award.
She says, “I’m honored to receive this award and thankful to the Lord for all the blessings that He’s giving me. Nakakatuwa po talaga dahil parang ang bilis po ng mga pangyayari sa buhay ko since nanalo ako sa Next Big Star. Sobrang dami na pong breaks and I am very grateful considering bago pa po ako sa industry. The award I received will serve as an inspiration for me para po gawin ko talaga ang best ko palagi,” she promised.
GMA Artist Center (GMAAC), where Frencheska is one of the talents, believes there is still so much more plaudits to be achieved by her. “Aside from the immense talent that she obviously has, her attitude is also very commendable. She works hard and she takes her craft seriously,” GMAAC head Ida Henares says of Frencheska.
With that, the public can rest assured that there will more of Frencheska to excite her audience in the near future. And we won’t be surprised to see her get ahead, and get really far in this business.
