PBO marks Sarah's 22nd birthday with special shows

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of her 22nd birthday, PBO hails Sarah Geronimo (photo) with special features of her movies and concerts every weekend this July at 9:30 p.m.

Two Friday nights, on July 9 and 23, Sarah’s hits on the silver screen and on the center stage are on PBO Premiere. First comes the highest grossing Filipino film of all time, You Changed My Life. A sequel to A Very Special Love, Sarah returns as Laida Magtalas, the doting girlfriend willing to sacrifice anything for the love of her life, played by John Lloyd Cruz. Next comes Record Breaker, Sarah’s fourth concert at the Big Dome with the biggest gate attendance ever. The repertoire includes upbeat songs like Unstoppable and Love Game, her hits Sa Iyo and Dahil Minahal Mo Ako, the theme songs of her movies A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life, a duet with Christian Bautista, a wacky number with Billy Crawford, Vhong Navarro and Luis Manzano, and more surprises.

Every Saturday night, watch Sarah the Box Office Queen. On July 3, she joins Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid and Bong Revilla in Captain Barbell, where a poor, skinny boy transforms into a macho hero. Then, her first family drama film Filipinas, topbilled by Maricel Soriano, Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez airs on July 10. Her first leading lady role takes place in Lastikman: Unang Banat on July 17, with Mark Bautista in the title role. Sarah first makes her mark as the lovestruck editorial assistant Laida who’s in love with her boss in A Very Special Love on July 24. The team-up with John Lloyd is followed by You Changed My Life on July 31. 

Sunday nights are exclusive for Sarah’s concerts as PBO presents Popstar’s Best!. Popstar: A Dream Come True, her first concert after becoming the champion of Star for a Night airs on July 4. Guests include Regine, Ogie, Mark and more. Expect her winning performances of Pangarap Na Bituin, Forever’s Not Enough and To Love You More. On July 11, Sarah in Motion will surprise you with the Pop Princess’ versatility and evocative new style in performing. Her guests include Gary Valenciano, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Sam Milby and more. See The Other Side of Sarah on July 18 as she does a Michael Jackson medley, a Thalia medley, a Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston medley, along with her personal hits. Piolo Pascual graces the stage with her and other special guests. On July 25, don’t miss The Next One, her successful sold-out concert that was an SRO all over the Philippines and the US. John Lloyd is Sarah’s special guest, as well as Billy Crawford, Jed Madela, Rayver Cruz and more.
