MANILA, Philippines - Watch Midnight Dj this Friday at 8:30 p.m. on TV5 as Samboy (Oyo Sotto) and friends tackle serial killings in a boarding house for males and females.
Ben (played by StarStruck Avenger Prince Estefan) beats up Cupcake (IC Mendoza), the flamboyant gay best friend of the former’s girlfriend Dottie (Chynna Ortaleza). Ben is found dead the following day – his stomach flayed open and internal organs missing. Dottie thinks Cupcake slayed Ben and has him arrested. It is only call center agent and fellow boarder Luigi (Sid Lucero) who believes the gay is innocent.
Another man is found dead and rumors abound that a creature called “Wakwak” is roaming the U Belt dorm row. A mysterious caller gets in touch with the MDJ Bunch Samboy, Bodjie (Joaqui Tupas), Ka Tokleng (Gilbert Telis), Chief Arthur (John Medina), Andrea (Desiree del Valle), Trixie (Jenny Miller), QT (Meg Imperial) and Swit (Julia Chua). They are in a quandary who the gory killer is. Is it really Cupcake? The creepy dorm caretaker Kuya Tony? Or is it someone they won’t even suspect? Can our heroes figure it out before everyone in the boarding house ends up dead?
Chynna and Prince are Kapuso stars and aver that they are more than happy to guest for the first time on MDJ, one of the Kapatid Network’s top-rating shows helmed by Lore Reyes and line produced by Angie Samson-Valvieja of Big Top Productions. “We had the blessing from GMA Artist Center especially now that Prince and I don’t have regular shows in our mother studio,” says Chynna.
