MANILA, Philippines - Even with prestigious citations (Outstanding Parents of the Year by Gintong Ina Foundation from 1994-1998, Gintong Ina Awardee by the Guillermo Mendoza Foundation, 1994), and also recently listed in Reader’s Digest Asia Philippines’ Most Trusted this 2010, Boots Anson-Roa carries that gracious disposition and charisma that endeared her to fans and of course, to her own family. There’s also no denying her contribution to the local motion picture industry, where she continues to make her mark as executive director for the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund).
Thankfully her daughter, Chiqui Roa-Puno, inherited these genes to exemplify confidence on cam, while managing to maintain strong family ties off cam.
She continues to be a sought-after broadcaster on TV and gracious host for other notable events. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Psychology from George Mason University in Virginia.
Chiqui shares that when it comes to bringing up her children, “We uphold basic family values which we try to teach them. We like to instill in them the same values our parents taught us. Other than that, we adjust to the child’s needs. We allow them to make mistakes so they learn on their own. We respond to them to what they like and what they don’t like.”
Chiqui makes sure she gives the best supplement available to Sabrina with Grow, a premier growing-up milk by Abbott Nutrition. Due to the Grow Boost System, Sabrina gets the benefit of optimal absorption of growth nutrients. Its special carbohydrate blend lets Sabrina have more energy. With this supplement, she’ll get the nutrition she needs to hopefully be just like her mother and grandmother.
