Love may be lovelier the second time around but falling in love with the same person for the third time after years of separation is the sweetest thing that could ever happen.
Take a closer look at Heart Evangelista, whose eyes seem to sparkle as she talks about her romantic relationship with Isabela Vice Mayor-elect Ian Dy, her first boyfriend when she was 17.
“We broke up when I was 19 but he never had any girlfriend after me. He went on dates but nothing really serious. This is the third time because every time he comes (back), I’m not ready. It’s either I’m with someone or nursing a broken heart,” she shares during the press launch of GMA 7’s Langit Sa Piling Mo which she topbills with Mark Herras, to air before 24 Oras beginning tonight.
Nine months after a failed romance, Heart feels it’s about time to give love another try. Ian wooed her back and Heart readily gave her nod.
“I think of all the relationships I had (she had two past loves), this is the most mature I’ve ever been into. I’m very level-headed about a lot of things now. I’m not that emotional when we never get to see each other often. I guess some things are really meant to end to teach you how to love the right way.”
Ian’s thoughtful gestures of sending her food or fetching her at the set in the wee hours of the morning are enough to tell Heart he truly cares for her.
“I enjoy being pampered with whatever I’m craving for. Magparinig lang ako sa Blackberry ko ng chocolates or anything may darating na.”
Do we hear wedding bells soon? Heart brushes off the idea. The thought of getting married is nice but “there are still lots of things that need to be done. ”
First on her bucket list is to save money to build her own house.
“That is something that will make you proud of yourself and I want to show that to my dad. He’s not impressed with what a man can give you but what you could do on your own.”
No wonder, Heart continues to live independently even after she reconciled with her family. Only her yaya stays with her in a three-bedroom condo unit in Makati. Heart never asked her parents to pay for her bills since she entered showbiz.
