MANILA, Philippines – Love Radio 90.7 DJs Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper have become household names thanks to their humor.
Now, the hottest radio tandem popularly known as Tambalan is bringing its act to an even bigger audience as the newest brand ambassadors of Smart and Talk ‘N Text.
“Nicole and Chris represent the fun, wholesome and down-to-earth image of Smart, especially one of its biggest brands: Talk ‘N Text. They are a good fit to the character and values of the brand which exhibits value and diskarte while still being fun and humorous,” says Carla Yap-Sy Su of Smart’s Brand Equity Management.
The pair will promote all the products and promos of Smart and Talk ‘N Text. They will be carried out mostly through games and promos in their morning radio show, Ang Tambalang Balahura at Balasubas.
“We’re both thrilled to be chosen as one of Smart and Talk ‘N Text endorsers. Ibang levelicious na talaga ito!” says Nicole.
“I’ve been a happy Smart subscriber for so long now. It’s really an honor for us to be part of a popular brand that we believe in,” adds Chris.
Aside from mastering how to tickle their audience in their morning show, the DJs have also become famous for the unique and exciting phrases they invent, such as “nakakalerkei” and “trulaloo at walang halong eclavou,” among others.
Showing their humor’s crossover appeal, Nicole and Chris’ venture into music was also a success. The pair’s most notable achievement is the hit single Mahal Kita Kasi. They released their first album Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Nakakalurkei Na Album in 2008 and followed it up with their hit albums Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Mas Nakakalurkei Na Album and Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Pinaka-Nakakalurkei Na Album.
Carla adds that aside from their radio program, the two will also endorse Smart products and promos in both their live and TV guest appearances. One of the promos is Talk ‘N Text’s new Unlitalk Plus.
The P100 Unlitalk Plus load lets Talk ‘N Text users have unlimited talk and text. The unlimited text feature can be used the entire day, while the unlimited call feature is available from 10 p.m. until 5 p.m. the following day.
