MANILA, Philippines - Ben Barnes is back with Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes in another out-of-this-world adventure in Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Hailed to be the best of the series, Dawn Treader is set several years after Edmund (Keynes) Lucy (Henley) and unfriendly cousin Eustace (Will Poulter) are unexpectedly drawn into Narnia when a painting of a ship on the wall of Lucy’s room came to life. As they arrive in Narnia aboard the titular Dawn Treader captained by King Caspian (Ben Barnes), the two Pevensie kids along with Eustace sail to storybook islands in search of the missing lords where they will pass through battles and encounter monsters of the deep.
On this bewitching voyage that will test their hearts and spirits, they are confronted by the magical Dufflepuds, sinister traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk. Only an enchanted journey to Asian’s Country, a voyage of destiny and transformation for each of those aboard the Dawn Treader, can save Narnia and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate.
Director Michael Apted (The World Is Not Enough) says that “The potential is thrilling. It’s a wonderful adventure mixed with fantasy. For the sake of the remaining four books, Fox will be hoping that potential (creative and business) is fulfilled.”
Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader opens soon in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
