MANILA, Philippines - John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo star in the recently-launched TVC of 555 Corned Tuna, Century Canning Corp.’s delectable, affordable and newest canned tuna variant. The TVC highlights 555 Corned Tuna’s unique Sarap-Ginisa taste, with real onion and garlic bits perfectly blended with generous tuna flakes, that is well-loved by kids and the two young stars.

The commercial is about the story of Louie (John Lloyd) and Lara (Sarah). Louie visits Lara in her house to express his feelings for her. But to get to Lara, he needs to befriend her strict but cute little siblings. Because he brought the kids’ newest favorite food, 555 Corned Tuna, which he served for them to taste, the kids immediately warmed up to him and everything went smoothly. “In the TVC, we wanted to show the Filipino tradition of panliligaw with a twist, instead of bringing the usual flowers or chocolates, why not bring food that the whole family will love? We hope that viewers would find the commercial entertaining, for sure most people would probably be able to relate to it,” says Macky Macapagal, 555 Corned Tuna senior brand manager.

The quirky, cute kids as well as John Lloyd and Sarah’s bubbly characters make the commercial fun and entertaining to watch. The commercial also showcases Filipino family-orientedness, mirroring 555 Corned Tuna’s Sarap-Ginisa, Panalo sa Pamilya! tagline. “We had fun shooting the commercial, especially since we were with cute and talented little kids. Naalala ko tuloy nung bata ako, ganito din ako ka-cute at ganito din ako kagana kumain, lalo na pag ganito kasarap ang ulam,” says John Lloyd. “And I’m with Sarah, of course doing the commercial is really an experience to remember. We’re thankful for this opportunity.”

“I really love kids. I consider myself a kid-at-heart. Doing this commercial was really fun at masasabi ko pong masarap talaga ang 555 Corned Tuna, masustansya pa, kaya nga ito ang bagong favorite food ng mga kids,” Sarah shares.
