MANILA, Philippines - Robin Padilla has just renewed his contract as Kawasaki Motors (Philippines) endorser.
“Robin epitomizes the best of being Pinoy,” said Teench Layosa-Doval Santos, Kawasaki senior manager for sales and marketing. “Robin has changed the image of the barako from being just astig or maporma to being responsible.” In a way, as endorser, Robin also improved the image of Kawasaki. Added Santos, “Maasahan si Robin; mayroon siyang dignidad. He is a league of his own.”
To show his gratitude, Robin is supporting Kawasaki’s mission to encourage entrepreneurship. He has picked the family of Lt. Cesar Ian Binucal, topnotcher of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Mabikas Class 2010, as recipient of a Kawasaki Barako 175 that could be used for a tricycle business.
The lieutenant, 23, comes from a simple family in Maragondon, Cavite. His father, Agapito, put him and his siblings through school by being a tricycle driver.
