MANILA, Philippines - Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in coordination with the Climate Change Commission, the Department of Science and Technology and the National Youth Commission will sponsor the First National Network Forum on Climate Change on April 19 to 21 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Roxas Blvd. PUP VP for Research, Extension and Development Dr. Pastor B. Malaborbor said the event allows the youth to organize themselves and define their roles in mitigating risks of climate change. It will also give them the opportunity to engage in projects and activities related to climate change.
PUP president Dr. Dante Guevarra will deliver the opening message on the first day. Keynote speaker is Heherson Alvarez, vice chairman of the Climate Change Commission.
Registration fee of P100 entitles participants to conference kits, cocktails, lunch/snacks, attendance to parties, certificates of appearance, giveaways and a chance to win raffle prizes.
