Offering the comfort of home

The cozy Kusina ni Maria Vikay

MANILA, Philippines - Many will agree that the best comfort food is concocted by our mothers in their very own kitchen Why? Because her love and care are the main ingredients for all the dishes that come out of her kitchen.

Kusina ni Maria Vikay, a cozy restaurant on Ortigas Extension in Pasig City is like mother’s kitchen. Favorite dishes like bulalo has saging na saba or corn kernel. Sinigang must always have siling berde. Pork and liver steak cooked Tagalog style has the sauce that you would love to flavor your rice. Ginataang langka or kamansi is simmered in coconut milk until deliciously dry. For dessert. Kusina serves minatamis na saging and halo-halo, among others. Gulaman at sago is one of the most ordered refreshments.

Breakfast rice toppings are affordable. Rice is topped either by longganisa, corned beef or adobo complete with fried egg. For bread lovers, newly-baked bread products are fresh from the bakery of Tinapay ni Tinay whose owner’s is Vikay’s daughter.

These are but some of the more than two dozens home-cooked specialty dishes that diners can look forward to everyday of the week. All dishes in Kusina ni Maria Vikay menu are available anytime of the day.
