MANILA, Philippines - Mags opened its newest outlet recently at the annex wing of SM Fairview through a star-studded affair. The ribbon-cutting rites were led by the brand’s image model Rica Peralejo together with Miss Earth 2008 Karla Paula Henry, Alfred Vargas, Angel Aquino, Chari Pineda, Iwa Moto and proprietress Mags Lopez Calpito-Cue.
“It’s the Year of the Tiger so animal prints are so in. Also, reptile prints and furry headbands will make a splash. We’ll be seeing more of the ‘tiger look’ throughout the year,” Mags shared her fashion forecast. “I have a personal passion for fashion so this undertaking is a natural progression for me,” she added.
Mall-goers gathered around the cordoned area for a glimpse of the celebrity guests present during the unveiling rites. “The label is different from those that I’ve endorsed. Mags products are made just for women. It has a different touch to it, too. It caters to female whiles and whims. It’s refreshing to see a businesswoman who’s young and almost a gal pal,” said Rica. “Mags is perfect for the morning show I’m co-hosting wherein I’m needed to dress up in my Sunday’s best; not formal but not too casual. The lines are simple but different from the usual fare. Even in its simplest lines, your character still shines through you won’t go unnoticed.”
Mags is an all-ladies hub that provides trendy and stylish women’s apparel, bags, footwear and accessories all bearing the label Mags. All the in-store merchandise has been procured from other Asian countries like Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand and India.
Mags branches are located in SM Cebu, Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City, SM Iloilo, the Maze Boutique inside Ayala Center Cebu, SM North EDSA, SM Fairview, SM San Fernando (Pampanga) and SM Davao.
