Getting to The Bottomline
MANILA, Philippines - Television interviews have never been this bold and feisty until The Bottomline came into the boobtube.
Hosted by Boy Abunda, The Bottomline has dramatically changed the face of one-on-one interviews as it fearlessly touches the most sensitive issues of controversial personalities.
From Hayden Kho’s defender lawyer Lorna Kapunan to Jason Ivler’s mother Marlene Aguilar, The Bottomline has grilled the hottest personalities in the front view of the viewing public with many questions coming from The Bottomliners.
“Ibang iba ito sa mga nagawa kong interviews kumpara sa Private Conversations, Kontrobersiyal, The Buzz or SNN. Sa Bottomline, nagiging instrumento ako para maiparating sa mga manunuod ang nais nilang malaman sa mga natatanging personalidad,” explained Boy.
According to Boy, each Bottomliner represents a sector of society. “These Bottomliners represent a unique mix of viewers. Of course, mas maganda if the viewing public is well-represented so that questions are varied and diverse.”
So far The Bottomline has already invaded forums, blogs, other Internet portals and even newspapers because of its unique presentation and concept of discussion. Netizens have always been vocal on their options and positive feedback about the show through Net posts.
The Bottomline with Boy Abunda airs Saturdays on ABS-CBN after Banana Split.
