Stars run for a cause

MANILA, Philippines - It will be a star-studded race to the finish line as celebrities join Century Tuna Superbods Run 2010 on Feb. 21 at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Among them are Century Corned Tuna endorser Derek Ramsay; Century Tuna Superbods 2009 winners Van Victor Leaño and Theresa Fenger; and coach Rio de la Cruz of RunRio.

Celebrity guests will join runners in four-race events: 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km. Male and female top finishers will go home with big cash prizes, plus special gift packs from Century Tuna, Nike, Timex, and Nature Valley as well as RunRio Finisher’s shirts and medals.

Runners and guests will be treated to fun activities such as capoeira and yoga exhibitions. Everyone can enjoy Century Tuna recipes and try out new Century Corned Tuna, a new and delicious way to enjoy healthy tuna with a corned beefy taste.

The event, which will be held in collaboration with RunRio, is also a fundraising activity for the benefit of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Participants who present Century Tuna labels at the drop-off areas at registration venues and at the event get a chance to win big prizes. For every label dropped, a corresponding donation will go to the UNICEF and the WWF.
