Valentine's date with the legends

MANILA, Philippines - Legends In Love, starring Rico J. Puno, Eva Eugenio and Rey Valera, will usher in the Valentine season at the Skydome at SM North EDSA on Feb. 13, 8 p.m. This is the first time the trio will perform together since the blockbuster concert series Legends of OPM at the PICC. Legends was so successful there has been a huge clamor for more return performances and Rico, Eva and Rey have since then been referred to as legends.

The Legends of OPM are singing stars whose recordings have stood the test of time and continue to be heard frequently here and abroad. Rico, Eva and Rey were among those responsible for many of the biggest hits during the ’70s and ’80s. Their rendition of these classics was what made Legends of OPM a success and they will perform those songs and new numbers.

Among these are Rico and his Kapalaran, May Bukas Pa, Buhat, Macho Guwapito and his own version of The Way We Were. Eva has Tukso, Kunwari ay Ikaw, Ano Ang Gagawin Kapag Wala Ka Na, Pag-ibig Na Walang Dangal and Mahal Mo Ba Sya. Then there is Valera with Walang Kapalit, Naaalala Ka, and Kahit Maputi Na ang Buhok Ko and others. There will also be grand production numbers in the program that includes romantic duets and stunning medleys.

Legends in Love is a Viva Concerts and Events production directed by Roxanne Lapuz with Gerry Mathias as musical director. It is sponsored by PCSO, People’s Journal, PBO, Viva Prime and Viva Cinema.
