New stars discovered at Model and Fashion Congress

MANILA, Philippines - The recently concluded Model and Fashion Congress at Festival Supermall, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, proved to be a success as several model hopefuls were discovered and are now busy with modeling and commercial assignments.

Mounted by Festival Supermall in partnership with interactive modeling management company My Fame and Fortune (myfameandfortune.com) and organizer Creativilla, the Model and Fashion Congress recently kicked off the biggest talent search for models, followed by a series of runway shows featuring designer labels and haute couture.

UST coed Krisheela Enriquez, 19, tried her luck at the congress, and out of dozens of models’ shots uploaded on the My Fame and Fortune site, Festival Supermall picked Krisheela to be the face of the First Model and Fashion Congress. She also appeared in four fashion shows during the event.

“The exposure boosted my modeling career,” Krisheela notes. “A lot of people saw the posters and I got a lot of calls from casting agencies inviting me to try out for casting auditions. Right now I’m already part of the GMA talent pool and I have VTR tests lined up for some shows.”

Chase Production, one of the companies that scouted for talents at the Model and Fashion Congress reports that Ryle Bautista, who auditioned during the first day of the congress, has been selected for a TV commercial for a milk product.

The company also cast the kids for the new Q-11 show Q-lets and Company,  namely Khate Patricia Anne Gache, Graziella Denise Perado, Joshua Tumarong, Paul Kenneth Remo, Janna Kiel Andrea Cuevillas, and Louise Darnell Abuel.

Another production company, IMAJ Production Motive, reports that Allysanver Foord has already done two TV commercials as a child lead role to date.

Krisheela wishes there was an event like this when she was just starting out. “It’s a lot easier for those starting out in modeling today — everything is in one venue already, and getting booked is one click away.”

The Model and Fashion Congress was capped by a special benefit show, where GMA 7 artists hit the runway modeling the creations of 16 designers from the Fashion Designers Alliance Manila (FADAL).
