MANILA, Philippines - University of the Philippines’ UP Streetdance Club emerged as winners of 2009 Skechers Streetdance Battle Year 5. UP’s comeback win was an incredible reward as it had been preparing for the dance competition since summer. Billed as the biggest, toughest streetdance competition nationwide and considered as the Philippines version of the United States’ NCAA, the Skechers Streetdance Battle 5 drew close to 100 high school and college streetdance crews. Prior to the championship, only 10 high school and 25 college crews managed to make it to the elimination in the final battle at the Big Dome. In photo are UP Diliman doing a remarkable stunt.
