MANILA, Philippines - Enchanted Kingdom (EK) was recently cited by the government of Laguna for generating the biggest tourist arrivals in 2008, amounting to more than 846,000 visitors out of the 1.974 million who visited the said province last year.
According to board member Kathleen Kay Yambot, “Enchanted Kingdom has been continuously drawing tourists and promoting Laguna as a major leisure destination since its establishment in 1995.”
EK’s offerings keep evolving to accommodate the challenges and needs of the park goers. This year, new films such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and Speed Racer Grand Prix debuted at the 4D and Rialto Theater, respectively.
TEKnovation, an educational attraction, recently opened for guests to discover the beauty and fun in science.
The entertainment line-up has become more colorful, lively, and mesmerizing with the incorporation of a park-wide parade showcasing EK’s seven magical theme zones with star-studded events happening simultaneously at the Eldar’s Tent, a 600 sqm. covered area perfect for corporate events and personal milestones.
“Enchanted Kingdom aims to provide quality products and services that create magical experiences. We are consistent with our vision to be the Philippine leader in wholesome family leisure and entertainment. The recognition from the government of Laguna is proof that the management and cast members (a.k.a. employees) of EK are all united in achieving this goal. The company is overwhelmed with gratitude and we will continue to keep the magic alive in all our guests,” said Mario Mamon, EK’s president and chairman.
Until Dec. 18, Ek is open Thursdays to Fridays from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and Saturdays to Sundays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with fireworks display at 8 p.m.
