MANILA, Philippines - Witness how Mrs. Philippines Camilla Kim-Galvez wowed everyone in Latvia, Northern Europe, when she was crowned second runner-up of Mrs. Universe 2009. Q-11 airs the pageant special at 9:30 tonight.
As the winner of the first nationwide search for Mrs. Philippines, Camilla represented the country in the international pageant last Aug. 9 at the five-star Hotel De Rome in Riga, Latvia. Out of 70 delegates from different countries, Camilla was the only Asian to make it to the Top 3.
Camilla also bagged the Darling of the Press and Best in Evening Gown awards.
The former TV reporter has talent. At the Riga International Music Festival, Camilla won the hearts of the people when she sang Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas. Reporters from different European countries said Camilla sounded so amazing, that even though they didn’t understand the words in the song, it still touched their soul. Camilla also sang the Latvian song Put Vejini during the concert and earned a standing ovation.
She was the only candidate featured in Latvian newspapers because of her soulful singing.
The Broadcast Communications graduate from the University of the Philippines, Diliman is CEO of Blue Gardens Weddings and Events Venue. She’s also a regular telethon host of CBN Asia’s 700 Club.
