With an apt theme of Bangon, Republic of MYX, the concert aimed to empower the Filipino spirit to move forward and stand up after the tragedies that have passed and prepare themselves in decisions that they’ll make in the coming elections. Aside from this, Filipino musicians and bands proved that music is part of each Filipinos’ life and can serve as an avenue in influencing people about the effects of climate change and the changing environment we are now experiencing.

Maganda yung concert kasi napasaya niya ulit yung mga tao even if 2009 has been very rough to the Philippines and it reminds us na ok lang yan,” he added.
The crowd’s enthusiasm was intensified by the series of performances of local artists and bands including some of the hottest musical acts and upcoming performers.
Yael of Spongecola shared, “I’m grateful that I was lucky enough to be part of the opening number. We’ve been through a lot of hardships in different variations, and at this point, I encourage everyone to just keep on fighting the good fight, have fun, take part in social activities, know what’s going on in the country.”
