Chris stresses the importance of reading

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Get Caught Reading endorser Chris Tiu was the special guest storyteller at the read-along session hosted by the National Book Development Board (NBDB) recently at the Powerplant Mall in Makati City.

The event, co-hosted by the Asian Eye Institute in celebration of its eighth anniversary, highlighted the importance of reading while maintaining good eyesight. Around 30 kids comprised of mall-goers and students of St. Theodore Perpetual School in Pasig listened as Chris read Eugene Evasco’s Apat na Mata (Vibal Publishing), a story about how a boy who had trouble seeing was able to enjoy the things around him through the help of his eyeglasses.

The NBDB has also hosted a series of storytelling events featuring other Get Caught Reading celebrity endorsers through tie-ups with different libraries and NGOs.
