MANILA, Philippines - Because of a fast-paced lifestyle, time has become a valuable and cherished commodity. Time spent with family and loved ones has become a warm, delightful refuge from our hectic world.
Gelli de Belen recognizes this truth in her own life as her days can get as hectic as they come: Host of Sis, product endorser, actress, wife to riel Rivera, and mother to Joaqui and Julio. These are the roles Gelli plays on a daily basis. So she and Ariel really try to set aside time to bond with their two boys.
“Everytime we are together, it’s bonding time. Whether we are eating out, watching movies or just watching TV at home, it’s family time we cherish,” says Gelli.
Like the typical Pinoy family that they are, Gelli’s brood equates fun times with good food. “Any activity we do always involves food. We obviously love to eat.“
According to Swift’s manager for Research and Development Ellen Almendrala, “The major change in the formulation — from pork to a combination of beef and chicken — was a real challenge because we had to make sure that the taste and quality of the hotdogs will remain the same. And we were able to achieve this.” So now, not only are Swift hotdogs healthier but they also retain the same taste and flavors we’ve always enjoyed.
The reformulated Swift Hotdogs are now also Halal-certified. Halal is Arabic for “permissible” and most frequently relates to food that is allowed according to Islamic Law (or Shariah). In order for food to be considered halal, it must not be, or contain, any forbidden substances and must be prepared according to traditional Islamic guidelines. Swift Hotdogs, aside from being pork-free, are prepared in the first and only Halal-certified hotdog manufacturing plant in the Philippines. This means Swift Hotdogs are prepared and put together with an extra measure of care for health and quality.
