MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Hospital and Medical Center breaks new ground with its Tower II expansion project and the opening of the new Lifestyle Medicine Center.
Set to open in the first quarter of 2011, Tower II is a 14-storey building that will house various hospital departments including the Rehabilitation Medicine Department, Sports Rehabilitation, Hearing Unit, Ophthalmology and additional patients’ rooms.
On related developments, continuing expansion is preceded by the opening of the Lifestyle Medicine Center, located at the fourth level of the main hospital tower. The innovative service specifically caters to lifestyle-related ailments and aimed at lifestyle modification as an effective means of preventing diseases. The medicine center also offers consultation, diagnosis, treatment, therapeutic and post-operative care.
Sports Rehabilitation for athletes, Exeutive Health for the busy business execs, Nutrition and Wellness for the weight-conscious, Sleep Laboratory for the insomniacs are among the units found at the Lifestyle Medicine Center. Also included are services in Dermatology, Cosmetic Surgery, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology and Dental Implantology.
According to Asian Hospital and Medical Center CEO Theo Seiler, the new Lifestyle Medicine Center is “a comprehensive center to address your emerging lifestyle-related health care needs. It is equipped and professionally-staffed for a meaningful patient-centered care. Our center utilizes evidence-based wellness program — another first in the country.”
The recently-held grand launch was attended by former President Fidel Ramos, Muntinlupa City Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac, Department of Tourism Undersecretary Cynthia Carreon and other VIPs from the government and private sectors.
