Why they love Dreamguyz
MANILA, Philippines - Producer Manny Valera and director Joel Lamangan score big once again with another film guaranteed to capture the audience’s heart and imagination.
After DMV Entertainment’s Walang Kawala where Polo Ravales and Joseph Bitangcol portrayed thought-provoking roles and Heavenly Touch where it unlocked the secret lives of masseurs, the fearless tandem with screenwriter Eric Ramos reveals the struggles of Japan-bound male dancers in I Love Dreamguyz.
Direk Joel and Manny have heard many moving stories about male dancers who’ve tried their luck in Japan and were inspired to make a film about them. Manny says, “Some of them fulfill their dreams of earning big bucks and helping their families, while some are not so successful.”
Direk Joel says, “I got excited with the material. I Love Dreamguyz shows what the dancers really go through — why they decide to enter this profession, the auditions and training, as well as the pressures and conflicts within the group.”
In the film are Marco Morales, newcomer Jay L Dizon, and dancer-actors Mhyco Aquino, Miggy Valdez and Sherwin Ordoñez. Niña Jose goes sexy on the big screen for the first time. She shares passionate kisses with Jay L and bares her back. Jao Mapa plays as special role as the dance group’s enigmatic manager Didi.
The trailer can now be viewed on YouTube. I Love Dreamguyz is produced by DMV Entertainment and will open on Nov. 4 at Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Ermita, Remar, Cinerama Isetann Recto, Gotesco Grand Central, Roben and Ultra Vista Cebu.
