Cooking show with mouthwatering twist

MANILA, Philippines - Q-11 delivers a fresh, new take on cooking shows as it adds a dash of light comedy and two very appealing stars, Sam Oh and chef Niño Logarta. The result is   Sarap at Home, a cooking show unlike any other on Philippine television, which is very much like a sitcom as it presents a slice of the life of two friends and neighbors, portrayed in the show by Sam and Chef Niño.

Sam plays a funny, single, career woman living in a condo unit whose kitchen is always stocked with food. Next-door neighbor Chef Niño, on the other hand, finds it very convenient to raid Sam’s kitchen because not only can he find everything he needs for a meal there, he also gets instant great company care of Sam.

In every episode, the two friends encounter a certain dilemma or a particular scenario and they end up cooking a flavorful and easy-to-prepare dish that complements the situation perfectly. Various guests will appear in each episode. The pilot episode features Aljur Abrenica. Episode two, on the other hand, will have Akihiro Sato.

Sam, who co-hosts True Confections and Sam’s Quest, said, “I had mixed feelings. The cooking part was interesting but the acting part was a little scary. But overall, it was exciting because it was something new.”

Sarap at Home takes viewers back to enjoying home-cooked meals that can be whipped up any time of the day with ingredients that are most likely already in the pantry — and best enjoyed in the company of friends and loved ones.

Catch it starting today at 2:10 p.m. 4:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. The show airs on weekdays at 10:50 a.m., 6:20 p.m. and 9:20 p.m.; Saturdays, 2:10 p.m., 5:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.; and Sundays, 2:10 p.m., 5:50 p.m. and 9:20 p.m.
