MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN Regional Network Group’s Kapamilya Karavan went to Davao to celebrate the Kadayawan Festival bringing with them its talents to perform at the jam-packed Gaisano Mall of Davao Atrium and share the stage with ABS-CBN Davao’s Claudette of Kapamilya Winner Ka! and Bb. Pilipinas Ms. International 2007 Nadia Shami.
The Kapamilya network gave away cash prizes and goody bags to contestants who joined parlor games, including an apple eating contest with a twist — five lady Davaoeñas to munch on the apple that’s in their Gigger Boy partner’s mouth. The ladies from the audience envied the five girls who got their intimate moment with Robi Domingo, AJ Perez, Aaron Villena, Chris Gutierrez and Enchong Dee. The Gigger Boys treated everyone to a dance number of handstands and body twirls to the tune of Jump and Mare Mare!
Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks of Kambal Sa Uma sang Way Back Into Love. Fans cheered and shouted “kiss!” to the two then Matt obliged.
Everyone was starstruck when Tayong Dalawa’s Coco Martin went on stage and performed Ako’y Sayo, Ika’y Sa ‘kin.
The audience was ecstatic when Gerald Anderson sang Ngiti with his killer smile.
Also gracing the affair was Anne Curtis who looked pretty in her short floral dress while singing Poker Face. She also strutted down the Gaisano stage while singing Umbrella.
The Kapamilya Karavan at Gaisano Mall of Davao is said to be the most attended show in the mall’s 12-year history.
ABS-CBN-Davao station manager Trisha Corpuz says, “We are overwhelmed by the support of Davaoeños to the Kapamilya network. We continue to lead in the ratings in this side of the country because of our quality programming with a good balance of news and entertainment. Mounting the show was not even enough to repay their loyalty to the network.”
ABS-CBN Regional Network Group continues to bring Kapamilya Karavan to fiestas nationwide.
