Parokya, Kamikazee at Convergys concert

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Parokya ni Edgar and Kamikazee are set to bring audiences to their feet at OutJAM: The Convergys Concert tomorrow, Sept. 5.

OutJAM will be hosted by Convergys Corp.(NYSE: CVG), the global leader in relationship management, as part of Convergys’ Employee Appreciation Day and Family Day, two events that the company holds annually for their employees’ enjoyment. OutJAM will also feature a job fair for interested applicants in attendance. The company expects thousands of employees, their families and friends to enjoy the tandem concert.

Multi-platinum artist Parokya ni Edgar is composed of Chito Miranda, Buwi Meneses, Darius Semaña, Gab Chee Kee, Din Din Moreno and Vince Montaner.  Formed in 1996, the band has since reaped a number of awards from MTV Asia, MYX, MTV Pilipinas and the NU Rock Awards. With catchy tunes and energetic performances, Parokya ni Edgar has engaged audiences everywhere. Its rollicking hit Mr. Suave has enjoyed playback even in international communities.

The five-man Kamikazee wowed the rock scene with Narda from its second album. A tribute to superhero Darna’s alter ego, it is now used as the theme song of the new primetime show. Kamikazee, made up of Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao, Led Tuyay, Jason Astete and Allan Burdeos, previously opened for Parokya ni Edgar early in their career. Both bands now enjoy tremendous popularity.
