Ahron looks forward to a busy career

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - When Ahron Villena emerged the big winner in the afternoon male personality contest MTB TV Idol in 2004, it is easy to tell why is he now one of the most recognizable male actors on TV and in the movies.

Now 22 and after five years in showbiz, Ahron, who shouts, “You’re the man!” coupled with the chest thug and pointing straight gesture, has long outgrown his TV Idol days.

His TV credits include MTB: Ang Saya-Saya, Maid n’ Heaven, Yes Yes Show, M.R.S. and Hiram. Gulong ng Palad is where he played a probinsiyano who always competes with other lads for Roxanne Guinoo. When showbiz projects became less, Ahron went back to school. He is enrolled at the Trinity University of Asia, where he is an HRM senior.

Ahron was cast in two Cathy Garcia-Molina blockbusters under Star Cinema, You are the One starring Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby and One More Chance with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. He also played one of the guys in the Rainier Castillo-Yasmien Kurdi romance Happily Ever After. In 2008, he became a mainstay of the Piolo Pascual-Angel Locsin soap Lobo.

Ahron was one of the men looking for love in the ABS-CBN afternoon weekly drama series Precious Heart Romance Presents Bud Brothers. Playing the flower farm owner Pio, Ahron is excited about the show and his new character.

Ahron admits he still has a long way to go as an actor and looks forward to more movies and shows.
